Pierce County Mother Charged with Manslaughter After Son’s Fatal Fentanyl Ingestion

A 32-year-old woman has been taken into custody and charged with manslaughter following the tragic death of her 5-year-old son due to fentanyl consumption. On March 13, in the early hours, deputies arrived at the 14900 block of 66th Ave to discover the child who had been put to bed and later found lifeless by his mother, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Blog. The lab findings, released on May 5, confirmed the ingestion of fentanyl as the cause of the young boy’s passing.
