A person was killed in a traffic collision in Puyallup Wednesday evening that has closed down a major roadway, according to the Fife Police Department.
The crash in the 7900 block of Valley Avenue Northwest, which is close to the border of Fife, involved two vehicles, a passenger car and a pick-up or other larger truck vehicle, Fife Police Chief Pete Fisher told The News Tribune. He said the call came in at 5:18 p.m. Fife police along with officers from several other agencies including the Puyallup Police Department, Bonney Police Department and Lakewood Police Department responded to the scene, he said. The Tacoma Fire Department also responded, according to spokesperson Chelsea Shepherd.
One of the vehicle’s occupants was dead at the scene, and another was transported to a local hospital with what has been reported as non-life-threatening injuries, Fisher said…
