Popular festival closes busy streets in downtown Puyallup starting tonight

The Meeker Days Festival returns this weekend in downtown Puyallup.

The festival is named for Ezra Meeker, Puyallup’s first mayor. The Meeker Days Festival started as a farmers market community gathering, Stacy Ringer, the event’s organizer, said. Now, 86 years later, the weekend-long event still honors Meeker and celebrates downtown Puyallup’s history.
