Teen Duo Arrested for Armed Robbery Spree in Pierce County

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a string of armed robberies in Pierce County that occurred on the evening of June 9th; the suspects, aged 17 and 18, are believed to be responsible for three separate incidents. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department responded promptly to reports of the crimes, which began around 10:30 p.m. and spanned multiple locations.

The spree unfolded as deputies first responded to Paradise Lanes Bowling Alley after allegations surfaced of two teens brandishing weapons at a witness who caught them in the act of prowling his vehicle; they reportedly fired a shot and coerced him to surrender possessions. Shortly thereafter, the same suspects assaulted two 15-year-olds, pistol-whipping them for their phones before making their escape once again. The suspects then engaged in another robbery at an ARCO gas station where a woman was threatened at gunpoint in her car.

Authorities caught up with the suspects at the ARCO gas station; they were apprehended just as one was exiting the victim’s vehicle, and a firearm was visible inside their car, leading to the seizure of the vehicle for further investigation. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department commended deputies for their swift action in connecting the criminal events and apprehending the suspects before the situation escalated to severe injury or loss of life…
