OKANOGAN COUNTY — A Tacoma man was hospitalized late Saturday night after his SUV veered off the road and crashed into multiple boulders on State Route 20, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash occurred around 11:45 p.m. near milepost 163. Troopers say 42-year-old Brandon K. Johnson was driving a black 2007 Nissan Murano eastbound when he reportedly fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and came to rest about 20 feet off the shoulder after striking several large rocks.
Johnson was the sole occupant of the vehicle and sustained injuries in the crash. He was transported to Mid-Valley Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is currently unknown…
