Seattle Police Nab Suspects with Car Boosting Gear and Firearms After Foot Chase in Pioneer Square

Seattle police swiftly apprehended two armed suspects early Sunday morning after a foot chase in Pioneer Square ended in the recovery of carjacking devices, firearms, and other stolen items. The incident occurred at approximately 1:35 a.m. on Sunday, when a Dodge Charger was reported to be hijacked, with its window shattered and two individuals inside, according to SPD Blotter.

Upon police engagement, the suspects fled on foot, disregarding orders to stop. A modified handgun with an extended magazine, another equipped with an automatic switch, stolen driver’s licenses, a social security card, key fob programmers, and a variety of burglary tools were among the recovered items. Although the suspects attempted to blend into the downtown crowd, their efforts were thwarted; the Seattle police closed in on them within a minute of their flight.

The two 18-year-olds are now facing a string of charges, including attempted motor vehicle theft, multiple firearm violations, and possession of stolen property. Detectives from the General Investigations Unit are taking the lead on this case.
