MISSOULA, Mont. — A 44-year-old Auburn, Washington man who was caught with multiple firearms and tactical gear after being removed from an Amtrak train in Libby has been sentenced to more than nine years in federal prison, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.
Mallory Nehemiah Brown pleaded guilty in January 2025 to prohibited person in possession of a firearm. U.S. District Judge Dana L. Christensen sentenced him to 115 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
Court documents say Brown, a previously convicted bank robber, boarded an Amtrak train in Seattle on Jan. 8, 2024, with a duffel bag and several long boxes. The train was headed to Washington, D.C., with a stop in Chicago…
