Seattle’s ongoing battle against drug trafficking saw a significant development last week when local law enforcement officials arrested a 32-year-old man, who happens to be a convicted felon, during a targeted narcotics operation.
According to a report from SPD Blotter, Seattle police narcotics detectives initiated a months-long investigation into the suspect’s activities after identifying him as a supplier for downtown street-level drug dealers. The probe began earlier this year and included extensive surveillance work, leading to the discovery of an array of illegal substances in an area described by authorities as “a safe harbor for illicit activity.”
Following initial surveillance on August 20 at an apartment complex on Northeast 165th Street in Shoreline, the detectives acquired evidence but opted not to make an immediate arrest.
