An evening that began with a man slumped in his vehicle at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Pierce County ended with a significant drug bust by local law enforcement. According to a post from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Blotter, deputies discovered the individual in the driver’s seat on September 1st, around 8:30 pm at the fast-food outlet on Portland Ave. E. Visible substances and drug paraphernalia prompted a suspicion of drug use and driving under the influence, leading to the man’s detainment.
Upon searching the 39-year-old male suspect, officers found a stash of drugs and a sum of $3,045 cash on his person. Following these initial findings, law enforcement secured a search warrant for the vehicle, which was suspected to be involved in drug distribution – a step that would reveal more than just narcotics. The served warrant the next day led to the collection of firearms, including two pistols, and a 3D-printed AR rifle complete with a suppressor, along with additional drugs and cash.
Precise quantities of the illegal drugs were reported by officials, with 929 grams of cocaine and 1,331 grams of meth being confiscated from the car. The seizure also included numerous fentanyl pills, indicating a broad spectrum of controlled substances poised for distribution. This operation stands as a testament to the ongoing efforts by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department to staunch the flow of narcotics on the streets…
