SUMNER, Wash. — A young man in his 20s died at the hospital after his car was struck by an Amtrak train at the Maple Street railroad crossing in Sumner. City officials confirmed his death Tuesday morning.
The man was originally reported to have serious injuries when he was transported to the hospital on Monday morning.
