Off-campus gun threat prompts lockdown at Lacey high school Wednesday. Teen arrested

Timberline High School went into lockdown Wednesday after a student allegedly pointed what appeared to be a handgun at another student off-campus.

A student called 911 shortly after 11 a.m. to report that a 17-year-old student pointed a handgun at them from a car on Mullen Road Southeast near the school, Lacey police Sgt. Jeremy Knight said.

A school resource officer immediately placed the high school in lockdown and Lacey police officers responded to the scene, the Lacey Police Department shared in an afternoon Facebook post. Meanwhile, Lakes Elementary School, which is across the street from the high school, went into lockout, Knight said…
