Tacoma City Council is actively seeking volunteers to step into six open roles on the Tacoma Community Redevelopment Authority Board (TCRA), announcing the call for CPA representatives, bank and finance pros, and seasoned real estate brokers. These roles are critical for guiding grants and loans aimed at lifting low-income households and supporting multi-family housing projects, businesses that create jobs, and non-profits that fuel housing and economic growth in Tacoma, according to a recent report.
The five current board members, each bringing a wealth of experience in accounting, banking, financing, and real estate, have terms nearing their end but they too have the chance to throw their hats back in the ring for another term, which is an opportunity that speaks to the ongoing commitment and continuous effort to sustain and foster community development, and the people of Tacoma are all the better for it.
