Kent Police arrested a 43-year-old Kent man for investigation of resisting arrest, a state Department of Corrections escape warrant, four counts of drug possession and possession of a stolen firearm.
The incident began at about 6:50 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 when officers were dispatched to a business at 200 Washington Ave. S., regarding an attempted theft from a vehicle, according to an Oct. 27 Kent Police Facebook post. The 911 caller had video of suspects in a car attempting to enter his vehicle, and he had followed the car to the business parking lot. He reported it was the same vehicle with the suspects who had just tried to break into his vehicle.
Officers arrived and noted the driver and two passengers were passed out in the car, according to police. They reportedly observed drug paraphernalia and what appeared to be a rock of fentanyl in clear view through the windows. The fentanyl was in the lap of a passenger…
