Pierce County Human Services is working with WorkSource Pierce to expand the Veterans Housing Options Group (VHOG). The goal is to support veterans who are experiencing housing instability. Starting November 5, 2025, VHOG will hold weekly meetings every Wednesday at 10 a.m. These meetings will take place at WorkSource Pierce’s Tacoma location on South State Street.
Pierce County has reported progress in reducing veteran homelessness. This year, VHOG has helped house 74 out of 168 veteran households. The group provides veterans with access to local housing resources, assessments, and connections to service organizations.
