Sig Sauer faces class action lawsuit in Washington over P320 handgun

SEATTLE — Gun manufacturer Sig Sauer is confronting a new legal challenge in Washington state, where a federal lawsuit seeks class action status on behalf of residents who purchased the company’s P320 handgun.

Patrick Schreiber, a Snohomish County resident, filed the potential class-action lawsuit in Seattle federal court. Schreiber purchased a Sig Sauer P320 handgun four years ago in Bothell for $1,093.

The lawsuit describes the weapon, which is marketed as a police and military grade firearm, as “defective.”…
