ELLENSBURG, Wash. – A man who pleaded guilty to taking part in a burglary that stole more than $30,000 worth of jewelry back in 2023 is facing more than five years in prison, according to Ellensburg police.
According to the Ellensburg Police Department, in the early morning hours of January 8, 2023, officers responded to a reported burglary at a local jewelry store. Police said suspects had driven a stolen vehicle into the building’s door, causing about $16,000 in damage. Officers said the suspects stole more than $30,000 worth of jewelry before leaving. The stolen vehicle was found a short time later just outside Ellensburg.
According to EPD, detectives gathered DNA and video evidence from the scene. Detectives also got a search warrant for phone records, and after an investigation identified the two suspects in the burglary…
