The Park Board of Tacoma approved a three-year design contact for a slew of new upgrades to Meadow Park Golf Course. Improvements will include a new executive nine-hole course, a three-hole developmental course, a restaurant, clubhouse and new golf entertainment facility at the site, 7108 Lakewood Dr.
The “Reimagine Meadow Park Golf Course” project is expected to cost about $48 million, which would be invested between 2025 and 2029, according to an FAQ on Parks Tacoma’s website. The project would be completed as proposed by the end of 2027.
No general fund money is expected to be spent on the upgrades. Funding will come from the Meadow Park Golf Enterprise Cash Reserves, donations and double-barrel limited tax general obligation municipal bonds “which will be paid by the enterprise operational revenue,” according to Parks Tacoma…
