Seattle Drug Bust Deals Major Blow to Sinaloa Pipeline

With a top drug-detection dog in tow, sheriff’s deputies in King County, Washington, seized more than 200 pounds of methamphetamine and heroin and nearly $90,000 in suspected drug proceeds in a Dec. 17 operation that law enforcement officials say struck a significant blow to a Sinaloa cartel-linked drug pipeline feeding the Pacific Northwest.

The large haul highlights continued cartel presence in western Washington and comes amid efforts to disrupt transnational drug networks.
