TACOMA, Wash. — A deadly fall inside the Emerald Queen Casino has raised new questions about safety at the popular entertainment venue, as the family of 37-year-old Evan Potifara calls for changes to prevent another tragedy.
Potifara died after falling through a glass panel inside the casino’s atrium on Dec. 20, 2025. His family’s attorney says a thorough investigation, and possible construction modifications, are urgently needed.
Potifara fell from the upper level, the casino floor, to the bottom of the atrium last month after crashing through what his family’s attorney describes as a solid glass panel.
