Falls from heights top workplace safety violations for 20th year, says Washington L&I

OLYMPIA, Wash. — For the 20th consecutive year, falls from heights remain the most frequently cited serious workplace safety violation by the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I).

Despite longstanding safety requirements mandating the use of harnesses, fall arrest systems, and properly installed anchors, many companies continue to neglect these measures, putting employees at risk, according to L&I.
