South Hill is in for a serious growth spurt. Uplands, a 320-acre master-planned neighborhood near Puyallup, is under construction with plans for roughly 1,000 homes wrapped around an extensive network of parks and trails. Model homes are already open, a shiny new clubhouse is up and running, and developers are clearly betting big that the mix of amenities and location will pull in everyone from first-time buyers to growing families and move-down owners.
Phases and construction progress
According to The News Tribune, developer Tarragon reports that 155 homes are already complete on the site. A second phase expected this spring is slated to add roughly 137 more homes, which would bring the total finished count to about 292 out of the planned 1,000……
