Puyallup is getting a new coffee shop soon.
According to a Facebook post from the Puyallup Main Street Association, Rainier Valley Coffee is opening a new location at 108 N. Meridian sandwiched between Caskcades and the old Candle Bar location. Gather Juice used to be in that spot before it closed in December.
Amanda Faille, owner of Rainier Valley Coffee, told The News Tribune Tuesday that she started the chain 10 years ago, with the first drive-thru location in Bonney Lake. Over time, it expanded to drive-thrus in Enumclaw, Maple Valley and Renton — and in May 2023, they opened their current drive-thru location in Puyallup at 11016 Valley Ave. E.
“We’re losing our spot in Puyallup because the owner sold it a year and a half into our lease. Our lease stipulates, basically, that we have a year to get out if so requested,” Faille said. “We make our sandwiches out of that location, so we need another. So, we decided to occupy this space.”…
