Bellevue man charged with hit-and-run death of woman in YMCA parking lot was ‘laying in wait,’ docs say

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A Bellevue man has been charged with first-degree murder and felony hit-and-run after prosecutors say he circled a YMCA parking lot, struck and killed an 88-year-old woman, then fled south and was later linked to two pedestrian hit-and-run cases in Tacoma, according to King County charging documents.

Mark Alexander Adams, 68, is accused in the Feb. 28 death of the 88-year-old woman at the Bellevue YMCA on Bel-Red Road.

The 88-year-old woman has been identified in court documents, however the King County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet formerly released that information…
