This summer, the brewery is set to close, but it is not the end of the story
Because the landlord wants to use the space for something else, Dirty Couch Brewing recently learned that its lease will not be renewed. It has now announced plans to shut down its Fort Street location in Seattle this summer (2715 W Fort St, Seattle, WA 98199). Things are challenging enough in the beer industry these days; it is not helpful when landlords jack the rent or make other plans for the property that a brewery calls home. Alas, as property owners, they have the right to do so.
The brewery says it is grateful to all customers who have supported the brewery and taproom over the years, as well as to the Magnolia community for its support. Keep an eye on the brewery’s social media channels as it plans to announce farewell events and share its future plans…
