Tacoma’s Solid Waste Utility is growing its Beyond the Bin reuse program this year, giving residents more chances to donate items instead of tossing them out. From April through September 2026, you can drop off gently used household goods every Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Center.
The city will host 26 free collection events, where local nonprofits like Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, Northwest Center, NW Furniture Bank, and Second Use will repurpose and redistribute donated items.
