Driver of stolen car going 130 mph flees, crashes into semi on I-5 in Pierce County

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — Police arrested a 28-year-old Burien man who was behind the wheel of a stolen car when he fled and crashed early Friday, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

The incident began when a stolen Infiniti G37 was seen speeding at 130 mph on southbound Interstate 5 in the Milton/Federal Way area.

Several attempts to stop the speeding car with spike strips were made along the I-5 corridor, but the driver exited each time to avoid them, according to WSP Trooper Kameron Watts…
