Small plane loses engines, lands in Auburn field

AUBURN, Wash. — A pilot was injured when a small Cessna airplane made an emergency landing into a field in Auburn on Saturday afternoon, according to the Auburn Police Department.

The plane was flying in from California when it had engine trouble and lost one engine, Auburn police said.

The pilot and one passenger thought they could make it to the Renton Municipal Airport, but then lost their second engine over Auburn. The plane landed in a field at a GSA construction site and the pilot suffered non-life-threatening injuries…
