Funeral services announced for Tallahassee native killed in Missouri skydiving plane crash

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Funeral plans have been announced for the Tallahassee native who was among 11 skydivers and a pilot who were killed in a Missouri plane crash last week.

25-year-old Blake Thacker was on the plane to complete his certification to become a skydiving coach, per previous reporting. He graduated from Chiles High School in 2019 and also attended the University of Florida.

“Those who knew Blake remember him as intelligent, funny, kind-hearted, and deeply caring. Skydiving gave him courage, confidence, and a profound sense of purpose. He often spoke about the joy it brought him and encouraged others who were interested to experience it for themselves,” the funeral announcement said…
