Leon County deputies help stranded driver get his dog to vet appointment

BRADFORDVILLE, Fla. — A routine traffic stop turned into a coordinated effort to help an elderly man and his dog after the man’s vehicle became disabled in Leon County earlier today.

Leon County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped to assist the man and learned he had an additional concern: his dog had a scheduled appointment at Bradfordville Animal Hospital nearby, and the pair were not going to make it.

After deputies contacted Bradfordville Animal Hospital, two staff members came to the scene, took in the dog and transported it safely to the clinic so it could make the appointment as planned…
