Leon County teachers plead for better pay at school board meeting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – More than two dozen teachers showed up to the Leon County School Board meeting Tuesday night to demand better wages. Several instructors shared emotional stories of day-to-day struggles to make ends meet with their current salaries. One teacher said she wants to start a family, but she worries she will need to change professions to be able to afford having a child. Another said she struggles to provide for her family.
