CFB Fans Believe Kayshon Boutte’s Outburst Against FSU Makes More Sense After Illegal Gambling Arrest

On Thursday, former LSU star receiver Kayshon Boutte was arrested in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for illegal underage gambling during his time at LSU.

The report by ESPN indicated that he bet on nearly 9,000 games, and even placed wagers on himself. One of the games in which he was confirmed to have placed a bet on himself was LSU’s opening 2022 game against Florida State. According to On3 ‘s Pete Nakos, Boutte bet that he would record a touchdown and rack up over 82.5 yards.

He ended up recording just two catches for 20 yards, and a viral clip from the game of him screaming on the sidelines has resurfaced.

While many fans assumed there were frustrations from his lack of touches in the game, which was likely a factor, many fans are also now assuming his bet was playing a role as well. The Tigers went on to lose the game by a score of 24-23.

According to ESPN, the investigation into Boutte is ongoing, and there is still a possibility for more chargers.
