Tallahassee Woman Charged in Accomplice’s Death After Dispute Over $15

A dispute over a $15 debt from a drug deal turned deadly in late 2023, resulting in charges against 21-year-old Ashley Pollock for the death of her accomplice, according to Tallahassee police.

Pollock has been arrested on charges of attempted homicide – negligent manslaughter and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and is currently held in the Leon County Detention Facility.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, the incident occurred on November 28, 2023, when Pollock and Delma Pace, her associate, forcefully entered a home on the 2100 block of Melanie Drive to collect the owed money.

Upon their arrival, the confrontation escalated when the homeowner, feeling threatened by Pollock’s display of a firearm, retaliated by shooting both women. The altercation led to both Pollock and Pace being hospitalized.

“Upon opening the door, a verbal dispute ensued, and Pollock brandished a firearm,” a release from the Tallahassee Police Department said.

“Moments later, an adult male within the residence produced a firearm and shot at Pollock and Pace. The two sustained serious injuries as a result of the shooting.
