Night to Shine is going strong with 10th year of special prom on Feb. 9

It’s been 10 years and Tallahassee is still hosting one of the greatest and most heartwarming shows on Earth – Night to Shine.

This special evening, set for Feb. 9, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, puts the party spotlight on individuals who, with an array of special needs, can experience all the fun and pageantry of attending a prom.

Tim Tebow is widely known for his football prowess, but equally notable is his love and desire to help those individuals without the physical and social abilities that most people take for granted. Night to Shine is a nationwide program that provides a special evening for those with special needs.

This year the 10 Year Anniversary event, with check-in at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, will be at a new location, the Tallahassee Automobile Museum, 6800 Mahan Drive.

Tallahassee is fortunate to have Scott Hunter, Pastor of Genesis Church, to embrace the dream of the Tim Tebow Foundation in hosting the Night to Shine event every year since its inception. In addition, Pastor Rachel Ritter serves as Prom Executive Director and she says the 10th year anniversary will be as fabulous and touching as the first nine.
