Hunter to face charges in fatal shooting of protected swan in Leon County

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Misdemeanor charges have now been filed against a hunter accused of killing a rare Tundra Swan on Lake Jackson late last month. According to Leon County court records, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission issued two citations, one for killing the protected swan in violation of both state and federal laws, and the other for hunting without a current duck stamp, which happens to feature the Tundra Swan this year.
