JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – On Friday, a Tallahassee man is facing serious injuries after a rear-end crash in Jackson County.
At around 1 p.m. on Interstate 10 near marker 148, a pickup truck was driving closely behind an SUV towing a trailer. After failing to observe the trailer in front of him, the truck driver collided with the back of the trailer, causing the two vehicles to travel southeast and off the main road, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
Both vehicles collided with trees positioned south of the interstate before coming to a full stop, authorities said.
FHP officials said while the driver and passengers in the pickup truck did not sustain injuries, the driver of the SUV sustained serious injuries.
At this time, there is no update on his condition.
