Tristan Smith did not get the usual Saturday start when the Tigers battled Florida State Saturday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Head coach Erik Bakich updated his injury following the second game and talked about the timetable for his return.
“Tristan hurt his ankle and is in a boot,” Bakich said last Saturday. “He will miss this start and he will miss the next start too. Then hopefully we will have him back after that.”
Smith has been the Saturday starter for the Tigers and started five games before getting injured. He has a 2-0 record with a 2.55 ERA.
