Chick-Fil-A’s North Monroe location temporarily closing for renovations

The Chick-Fil-A franchise on North Monroe won’t only be closed on Sundays. The mega fast-food chain, known for its chicken sandwiches, is temporarily closing the location after Thursday.

According to the chain’s North Monroe Instagram page, the location will close its doors at 7 p.m. to begin its “scrape and rebuild,” or interior and exterior renovation project, with plans to reopen in the fall.

For the store’s last day, they are handing out 200 “challenge cards” starting at noon. The cards encourage patrons to visit the Campus Circle and both West Tennessee Street locations, to fill their punch cards and receive a $10 gift card.

As previously reported by the Tallahassee Democrat, the Georgia-based chain bought the longtime family-owned restaurant Lindy’s Chicken’s North Monroe Street location next door for $650,000 in 2022, with plans to “rework their site and improve drive-thru access.”

This will be second largest Chick-Fil-A restaurant in the sunshine state. The largest is in Tampa. The Democrat has requested site plans from the City of Tallahassee.
