Coach Jeneive Gordon’s story of survival inspires more stories of hope Rosalind Tompkins

Here’s the thing, I have been writing this blog since 2012 and over the years I have had several themes beginning with the “Life Lessons Blog,” then I moved to “What Brings Me Hope” with a few variations in between.

However, over the past several weeks I no longer felt excited about writing from the perspective of “What Brings Me Hope,” and it is not like I didn’t have anything to share that brought hope because I have participated in some amazing events and just waking up in the morning and feeling good in my spirit, soul, and body brings me hope.

I was thinking about ending the blog and moving on to other things until I met Coach Jeneive Gordon on my latest trip to Portland Jamaica.

I was invited to talk about the Practice of Hopeology at Green Team International’s Tenth Anniversary Conference by founder Dr. Anne Bailey. While in Portland, Jamaica, I experienced the beauty of the island and the people. It was breathtaking to be up in the hills overlooking the ocean.

During the ceremony, a petite woman with a big voice, Coach Jeneive, stood up to make a comment and then shared her story of surviving metastasizing breast cancer.
