Tallahassee crime: Police investigating separate stabbing, shooting, one at Circle K

The Tallahassee Police Department says it’s investigating two separate stabbing and shooting incidents over the weekend.

Early Monday morning, officers responded to a man who was suffering from a stab wound to the chest in the parking lot of a McDonald’s on West Tennessee Street, according to a news release.

The victim told police that the stabbing happened elsewhere, but “officers were not able to locate a crime scene after canvassing nearby areas.”

“At this time, it is unclear where exactly the stabbing took place, as well as the circumstances that led up to the incident,” TPD said. “This investigation remains ongoing.”

Before that, a man was shot early Sunday morning inside his car at a Circle K parking lot, according to the release.

Officers were “flagged down” by the man around 4:45 a.m. at the gas station, at 3433 Crawfordville Road.

“At this time, it is unclear the circumstances that led up to the shooting, and the case remains open and active,” TPD said.

Both of the victims from the separate incidents were treated for their injuries.
