Bystanders were stunned as they stood and watched a man cling to the hood of a car as it whizzed past Florida State University’s staple café, the Sweet Shop.
Over the last week, thousands of people have watched a video posted on Barstool FSU’s social media pages in disbelief as a scene straight out of an action movie played out in the streets of Tallahassee.
A white sedan is seen speeding out of the café’s parking lot onto West Jefferson Street with a man hanging on to the hood. The video ends right as the car makes an abrupt right turn onto a side street.
Buried amid dozens of joking remarks, other witnesses from the day offered details of what led to the events depicted in the viral video.
One commenter said he saw the whole thing and that the man driving the car got upset because his Nutella croissant didn’t have enough Nutella, and his frappe was taking too long. Frustrated, the man “snatched the three drinks and whatever food was left on the counter and dashed through the door.”
