Two teenagers injured in drive-by shooting Sunday on Jackson Bluff Road

The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a Sunday drive-by shooting incident that injured two teenagers in west Tallahassee.

A dark-colored vehicle was driving in the 2300 block of Jackson Bluff Road shortly after midnight when an occupant inside started shooting at two boys walking along the road, according to a TPD incident alert.

A 16-year-old was shot in the arm and a 17-year-old was shot in the foot. Both were taken to a local hospital to treat their non-life-threatening injuries.

There are no suspects at this time, and no arrests have been made, TPD said in the online update.

This is the first reported act of gun violence with injuries in the capital city and county in almost a month. So far this year, 17 people have died and 38 people have been injured in 44 shootings, according to a Tallahassee Democrat analysis of gun violence .
