The results are in after a close Campus USA Credit Union Athlete of the Week poll.
Bringing in 35% of the vote to win a competitive poll, Maclay senior Landri Ross is the Campus USA Credit Union Athlete of the Week winner for Sep. 2-7. She earns the honor for her displays in two victories for the Marauders volleyball team.
In a 2-1 win over Valdosta, she recorded eight kills, four aces, seven digs, and 13 assists. She followed that up with a 2-0 win over Lowndes where she recorded two kills, nine aces, one block, seven digs and nine assists.
Congratulations to Ross and other finalists Kemarrion Battles (Gadsden County football), Teagan Hackett (Florida High football), Peyton Johnson (Florida High golf), Alex Parker (Chiles golf), Kate Stewart (Chiles volleyball), Tadarius Huggins (Lincoln football) and Matthew Hauser (Lincoln cross country)!
The Tallahassee Democrat/Big Bend Preps runs an Athlete of the Week contest every week, recognizing one standout high school athlete. Voting for AOTW opens on Monday and closes on Thursday.
