TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Former Tallahassee mayoral candidate Whitfield Leland is now facing federal charges for an armed holdup at a Dollar General. Leland was arrested in May 2024 after police say he robbed the Dollar General on West Brevard Street and fled out the back door disguised as an employee.
