Tallahassee Woman Arrested for Defrauding Medicaid Program

Attorney General Ashley Moody has announced the arrest of Mary Elizabeth Graham for allegedly defrauding the Florida Medicaid program. Graham was taken into custody by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office on September 20 following a thorough investigation by the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU).

The investigation uncovered that Graham, while employed at Panhandle Therapy Center, LLC, fraudulently billed Medicaid for services that were never provided. As a result, she has been charged with one count of Medicaid provider fraud, categorized as a third-degree felony, with an amount involved of $10,000 or less.

The case will be prosecuted by the State Attorney’s Office for the Second Judicial Circuit of Florida, under the special designation of Wes Paxson III, an attorney with the MFCU.
