Georgia Aims to Poach Star Receiver From Florida State During Nightmare Season

The Georgia Bulldogs are looking to take advantage of the Florida State Seminoles’ misfortunes this season. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart is on the prowl, and Noles fans may not like the latest college football news coming out of Tallahassee.

Florida State appears to be in serious danger of losing one of their top 2025 recruits to the Bulldogs. Not only are the 1-5 Seminoles losing on the field, but their recruiting efforts are also taking a serious hit.

On3.com’s Steve Wiltfong reported that Smart is aiming to flip four-star receiver CJ Wiley, who has already committed to Florida State. The four-star recruit is the No. 103 rated player in the 2025 class and No. 13 receiver. According to the college football insider, Wiley could “easily” flip from Florida State to Georgia.

“Two prominent in-state prospects checked out the [Georgia] win over Auburn in safety Lagonza Hayward and receiver CJ Wiley,” Wiltfong wrote in an October 7, 2024, column. “Hayward is a verbal to Tennessee and Wiley is in Florida State’s class.
