TSU wrapped up its homestand with a 3-0 loss to Florida A&M on Sunday evening. As expected, both teams were close as TSU overcame a 14-13 deficit as two kills from Kourtni Collier sparked a 4-0 run and a 17-14 lead. FAMU answered with two straight points but Collier and Gracie Hill had kills along with a block by Hill and Taryn Stafford which gave TSU a 20-16 margin. FAMU fought back with a 7-3 surge to knot it at 23-all but TSU had a chance to close out the set as Lauren Battle’s kill gave them a 24-23 margin. However, FAMU forced sudden death with a block but TSU had two opportunities to win the set but FAMU would counter with kills before closing out the set with a 28-26 win.
