Search is on for new city manager

Lazaro Aleman ECB Publishing, Inc. The headhunt for a new city manager is underway, with the Monticello City Council taking the first step in the process last week. Addressing the council on the issue on Tuesday evening, Oct. 15, was Mark Ryan, a retired city manager with 40 years of experience as the manager of three Florida cities and currently a senior advisor for the Florida City/County Management Association (FCCMA). Ryan told the council members that their primary job in the search for a new city manager would be to sell the community to the prospective applicants by listing the community’s assets, in terms of its cultural, natural and social amenities, capital improvement proj.
