Leon County, Florida, restaurants with the most violations in the past 30 days

Recent restaurant inspections in Leon County have shed light on food safety practices across the area’s dining establishments. Over the past 30 days, the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation conducted inspections at 54 restaurants, with 46 passing on their first visit.

However, eight required follow-up visits after failing to meet the standards during their first review.

With a population of 296,913 in Leon County, according to the United States Census Bureau’s 2023 reports, many residents and visitors frequent local eateries. This is why I believe staying informed about inspection results can help diners make educated choices.

Among the restaurants inspected, Glory Days Grill on Capital Circle NE topped the list after it received the most citations, with 11 violations, including two high-priority issues.

However, this popular local sports bar met inspection standards after correcting several infractions on-site during the Oct. 7 visit, state records showed.

Meanwhile, three other establishments — Midtown Caboose, Osaka Japanese Steak House, and The Egg Cafe & Eatery — each received eight violations but ultimately met inspection standards.
