TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Officials with Leon County and the Emergency Management Office sent out a wireless emergency alert Saturday evening to warn residents of impending severe weather.
That alert was sent out to every phone within the county around 6:40 pm. The alert warned of “Tornadoes and damaging winds” on Sunday morning. The alert went on to say those living in mobile homes should “consider seeking shelter in a sturdy building with friends and family.”
