Kyvon Tatham: FSU track star with a family legacy

Raised in a family of runners, track and field has always run through Kyvon Tatham’s veins. From his brothers competing at the collegiate level to his father’s mentorship and mother’s track legacy, Tatham’s life is synonymous with the sport.

Growing up in South Florida’s competitive track fields with other young talents shaped his ability to compete under harsh conditions.

“I started track when I was about four or five,” Tatham said. “I was thrown into [jumping] one day, and I just stuck with it. I liked the technicality of it as I got older. I like being able to work on the fine details, the repetition, being hyper-fixated on the small things. And jumps [have] a lot of those small things.”…
